Tigerlilly News: Dagny and Cesar's Baby Shower

This past weekend we headed north to go to Dagny (Jason's sister) and Cesar's baby shower. It is hard to believe, but she is now due in just 4 weeks. Isabel is going to have a little baby cousin and Jason and I will have a niece. We are SO excited to meet her! The drive up was 9 1/2 hours each way. We have done it in 8 hours, but needed to make extra, longer stops along the way to give Isabel a break. We actually got a portable DVD player so Isabel could watch some movies. This is a big thing for us because we pretty much don't let her watch TV at this point. So, on the way up and the way back, she watched the DVDs twice, for about 20 minutes each. It doesn't sound like much, but at the time she was really fussy and the DVD calmed her down. Overall the drive went well. We really enjoyed seeing Dagny, Cesar, Ben, and Lynne (J's parents) along with other family and friends. Dagny and Cesar got a lot of nice gifts and are well on their way to being as ready as you can be for a newborn. This first picture is of a diaper cake that Dagny's sister-in-law/Cesar's sister, Patricia, had made for her. It was so pretty. I am sure it will be hard to take it apart, but there is a lot of good stuff on it that they will need to use.

Isabel enjoyed the balloons. She kept laying on them. It is amazing that one didn't pop underneath her!

While Dagny and Cesar opened gifts, Isabel and Amari (Dagny and Cesar's niece) had a grand 'ol time playing with M&M's. They were actually entertained by the candy the whole time the gift giving was going on.
