Grandma's in Town!

Well, actually my mom left on Monday (boo hoo), but we had a wonderful visit. My mom typically comes to visit for 2-3 weeks in the summer and I love every minute of it. Being a speech therapist with the public schools, she has the wonderful luxury of being able to take long vacations in the summer. Also, when Grandma is in town, Isabel gets spoiled! The big surprise was my mom gave Isabel a baby doll stroller and her first baby doll. She explained to me that when I was about 18 months old, her mother gave me a buggy and a baby doll and I loved it. My mom looked everywhere for a baby doll buggy, but had no luck. So she had to settle for the stroller. It is so cute. The stroller is actually made by Graco (the same brand of stroller we have for Isabel) and has the infant carrier that attaches to it! We actually took away the infant carrier and hid it.....Isabel kept putting it around her neck. We'll give it back to her in a year or two. Isabel has had a lot of fun pushing the stroller around, putting the baby doll, various stuffed animals, blankets, books, toys, and whatever else she can find in and out of the stroller, and carrying around and hugging the baby doll. She also had lots of cuddle time with my mom. It was amazing to see how quickly she was attached to my mom, even after not seeing her since December. Good times!
