Feeding the Birds

The same weekend that Jason was out of town in June, Isabel and I headed down to Lake Morton to feed the birds. We had done this about a year and a half ago with my parents before Isabel could walk. The main thing I remember is the white swans were actually "nipping" at me to get bread! So, this time we stayed away from them. The pale brown and black swans that were somewhat near us weren't aggressive at all.

Can you just feel Isabel's excitement to feed the birds??

She was a little leery at first. The ducks weren't shy at all! Then she became the "duck whisperer".

Then she became a pro! It was all about learning the technique of throwing the bread rather than trying to feed them by hand.

It was fun. We decided to leave when Isabel started to eat the bread. :-)
