The Zoo was a Zoo!

Last weekend we had the pleasure of going to the zoo with 3 other couples and all of our kids. It was the $5 admission day, so it was a zoo! Despite that, the kids had a lot of fun. I think Isabel really enjoyed seeing the animal in person and being able to name a lot of them on her own.
We started off the day going straight to the "Safari Africa" area. It was decided that would be the best place to go first thing in the morning since there was very little shade there and May in FL means it is really hot! We thought we would try to get Isabel to feed the giraffe. It is amazing how close you actually get to the giraffe. They are really pretty animals.
Jason ended up being the one feeding the giraffe. Isabel was a little intimidated by the size to say the least!
The giraffe wanted more, but alas, the $2 cracker was gone! Talk about a tongue.... Isabel enjoyed looking at the elephants. She didn't want to leave this area.
Our last stop in Safari Africa....a camel ride! Isabel loved it!
Isabel and her crew.....Hannah and Aiden. She talks about them often at home.
Checking out the meerkats.
Isabel with her other buddies, Tyler and Tori, in front of the penguins. They were good at showing Isabel how to pose for the picture.
A little stop at the water play area. Isabel was quite as into it as she was last year at Sea World. I guess she is more aware of all the other kids running around and is being cautious. I hope she stays that way!
Isabel and Aiden.
The carousel was spotted.....so we took a ride. Isabel picked out the zebra all by herself.
One of the last stops, the komodo dragon. It didn't intimidate Isabel at all!
Another fun day together!
