Tigerlilly News: The NEW Swingset

Well....I am finally updating the blog! For Isabel's 2nd Birthday, we decided it was time for a swing set. Jason and I thoroughly explored all of our options.....wood vs. metal, buy a set from Wal-Mart, but a set from one of the big, expensive companies (Rainbow, Woodplay, Play Nation), or......get a kit from Wal-Mart and "simply" just add a few pieces of lumber to "build and play in one day". We decided to go with the Home Depot kit because Jason's parents were coming down and his dad, who is very good at building projects, could assist with the process. The other catch her was Jason's dad got in town on a Monday, they were going to put up the swing set on a Tuesday, and then Jason and I were leaving town on a Wednesday with the hope that Jason's parents could have Isabel play on the swingset while we were gone. Good plan, right?

Here is the spot where we decided to have the swingset built. In the afternoon the tree provides great shade for this spot.

This is how far they got by the end of the night. Considering all the rain we had, they got pretty far.....but it wasn't done in time for when Jason and I left town. Jason's dad did finish the swingset though while we were out of town and Isabel enjoyed it VERY much!

The swingset made it's grand debut at Isabel's birthday party. I think all of the kids enjoyed it.

Isabel was a little hesistant about climbing the rock wall to get to the slide, but now she loves it.

Before we knew it, Isabel was already trying out the big swing. I don't think she will need the toddler swing for long......

Pusing Pooh Bear.....he really is in there, you just can't see him. We were bad parents and left him in there one night. That would the night that it poured! Poor Pooh was soaked.
